TECHNOLOGY ARCHITECT

Our Public Sector client is currently seeking one (1) Technology Architect. This is an 11-month contract opportunity slated to begin in early February 2012.

Mandatory Requirements/Skills

• 10+ years experience with enterprise technical/application architecture;
• Successfully completed enterprise and full technical architectures in government settings or similar complex, multi-project/multi-client organizations;
• Experience in integration of various enterprise applications/security infrastructures with WebSphere Portal using SOA architecture;
• Experience in distributed application development using Object Oriented design/programming, JAVA, JSF, J2EE, XML/XLST, EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, HTML, JavaScript, SOA and Struts framework;
• 5+ years of Portal development focused around the use of Portal features such as interportlet communication, themes/skins, virtual portals, portal access control, web services, portlet security;
• Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and directions;
• Good knowledge of services-oriented architecture (SOA) approach to creating distributed applications;
• Experience gathering and analyzing technical requirements for Portal, portlet development and intelligent/smart forms;
• 5+ years experience translating Portal requirements into logical and physical designs for Portal and content management systems;
• 5+ years experience architecting integrated solutions for the implementation of Portal, Process, Forms and collaboration tools;
• Experience with designing Portal and Forms architectures;
• Experience in development of XFORMS and XFDL-based forms;
• Experience planning and implementation of physical infrastructure environments consisting of  WebServers, Portal Server / WebSphere Application Server/Oracle DB;
• Product knowledge and experience in implementing and integrating IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM Web Content Management, IBM WebSphere process server and IBM Lotus Forms; and
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with customers, management and peers; detail-oriented; excellent presentation skills.

Desirable Requirements

• Knowledge and experience as follows is desirable:
• Knowledge of Service Ontario Deployment Platform (SODP);
• Strong experience in developing technical specifications;
• Knowledge of Zachman framework including:  business/information/application/technology/ security architectures along with experience with OPS Enterprise Architecture Approval (ACT/ARB) and IT Gating process; and
• Development experience with IBM BPEL. (Business Process Execution Language).

 Responsibilities:

• The Architect shall be responsible to provide the following Services and Deliverables:
• Assist/support the Architecture documentation process as it relates to the implementation of the ONBIS solution within the SO portal environment;
• Development of specifications for implementing the ONBIS presentation requirements within the SO portal environment;
• Development of specifications for implementing the ONBIS user account management requirements within the SO portal environment;
• Development of specifications for implementing the ONBIS authentication and authorization requirements within the SO portal environment;
• Integration SME for executing implementation of these same specifications; and
• Other tasks as assigned by the PM.
