 Senior Business Analyst

Our Public Sector client is currently seeking one (1) Senior Business Analyst. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with a 1 year extension, slated to begin in early January 2012. The successful candidate will be a strong process-oriented individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage a multiple-phased high-profile project within the Federal Government.

QUALIFICATIONS: Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years exp. as a Business Analyst with at least 4+ years as a Senior Business Analyst in an I&IT environment
  • Experience in Business Analysts training
  • Requirements analysis gathering
  • Comprehensive experience in current state and gap analysis
  • Experience with structured life cycle methods
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and delivering projects with multiple vendors
  • Experience with CRM Solution costing; configuration, implementation, data migration, testing, training
  • Enterprise CRM experience with implementation, configuration, testing etc.
  • Experience coordinating complex, multi-program efforts and project activity
  • Working with teams of over twenty direct project resources and experience in multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of governance structures
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills, independent
  • Excellent leadership skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and validate existing business process use case and feature set documentation to determine and document technical requirements.
  • Review the performance metrics for all IPD and BD programs (the database needs to have the functionality for specific data reports).
  • Conduct a feasibility analysis to determine a technical solution that meets client needs and provide a written report on the results of the analysis with supporting documentation (identify, evaluate and cost software solution options).
  • Develop and cost a database configuration, implementation and server host plan.
  • Work with client/SSO-IT to purchase software/user licenses and, if required, hardware (e.g. Server).
  • Configure and install the software/hardware
  • Work with the vendor, SSO-IT and the client to prototype, test and implement the solution (including the transfer of FMPro data to the new database) and maintain documentation resulting from these processes
  • Develop and provide documentation and training to SSO-IT developers responsible for supporting the application on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and provide documentation and training to users (including such topics as how to input data and generate reports)
  • Assist in developing a Support Level Agreement between SSO-IT and the client to ensure sustainable technical support for the solution.
