Senior Programmer/Software Developer

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking a Senior Programmer for a 16 month contract opportunity slated to begin ASAP.

Programmer– Requirements within the last 8 years of experience

• Experience designing, building and modifying applications and data models from functional specifications.
• Experience in the design and development of models and/or analysis with models using modelling and simulation software such as Simulink, Arena or Anylogic.
• Experience developing software using the Eclipse IDE and/or Anylogic.
• Min 5 years experience developing visual system modeling applications using Java, C++, C# or Delphi.
• Min 3 years experience developing custom applications using Java
• Experience producing software functional specifications based on business requirements.
• Experience on a min of 3 projects performing data analysis, data conversion and data migration into applications.
• Min of 2 years experience in the last 5 years re-using, integrating and adapting major pre-existing software components (e.g. graphics or visualization toolkits, optimized mathematical libraries, network libraries etc.) into software developments.
• Min 3+ years developing software projects where the development process included review using formal methods in software engineering (e.g. code review, unit testing, formal verification, validation.)
• Min 2 years experience developing software for parallel computing.
• Min 3+ years in graphical user interface design and development.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer/Software Engineering with preference given to a Master’s or Ph.D.
